Through specialized patient care, medical education and scientific research, the USC Department of Urology is dedicated to the treatment and study of urologic conditions, both cancerous and benign.
Areas of expertise include oncology, urinary reconstruction, endourology (including lithotripsy), urodynamics, adrenal surgery, management of male impotency – including microvascular and prosthetic surgery.
The Department ranks as one of the nation's largest and most progressive multidisciplinary urology programs, and it is marked by a carefully balanced approach to patient care, basic and clinical research, and innovative programs with an emphasis on urologic oncology and reconstructive surgery to enhance quality of life.
We emphasize maintaining our patients’ quality of life whenever possible. So, in addition to our team of skilled urologic specialists, we provide access to a comprehensive support staff, including social services, care management, pain management, patient education and an experienced nursing team.
As part of an academic medical center, we treat some of the most complex cases in the Los Angeles area. The Keck Hospital of USC multidisciplinary team approach means that our medical, surgical and radiation cancer specialists are conveniently located at one place, bringing their combined skills and expertise to our patients’ cases.
Our physicians are on the faculty at the renowned USC Keck School of Medicine, which means our patients often have access to new clinical trials and treatments that may not be available at other hospitals.
